About Us
Hey, I’m Leon, the guy behind Sawdust—where I turn planks of wood into bunk beds, bookshelves, coffee tables, and other solid, good-looking furniture.
This all started when I needed bunk beds for our guesthouse, but everything I found was either flimsy, boring, or just plain ugly. So, I decided to build my own—something that looked great but was also strong enough for me to sleep on without worrying it would collapse in the middle of the night.
That first project turned into something bigger when my kids got involved.
Watching them climb, swing, and turn furniture into their own playground gave me the idea to add climbing walls, monkey bars, slides, and other fun features to bunk beds. Before I knew it, I was making custom pieces not just for our guesthouse, but for other homes, guest lodges, and anyone looking for solid, well-crafted furniture.
I believe furniture should be built to last—not wobbly, not cheap, and definitely not something you need to replace in a few years. If you’re looking for a custom piece that’s strong, functional, and looks damn good, I’d love to create something for you.
